Step 1

Install your Retro Kit with silicone and 4 screws into your concrete sheeting or timber flooring. Be sure to use plumbing glue to connect your puddle flange to your floor waste piping.

Step 2

Silicone seal your edges, any holes, and the edges of your puddle flange (retro Kit). Proceed to prime your shower drain for the waterproofing paint.

Step 3

Spread and smooth your silicone around all your edges. Allow to dry for a couple minutes prior to applying your acrylic waterproofing paint.

Step 4

Apply your first layer of acrylic waterproofing paint to the edges. Place your first piece of banding strip to the edge.

Step 5

Proceed to paint the entire base and edges on top of the banding trips. Place additional banding around the drain.

Step 6

Once the waterproofing membrane has dried after 24 hours, place your test plug in the drain and fill the base with water.

Step 7

Re-insert your base into the puddle flange and secure the height as wished by applying your bedding to the tiling area.

Step 8

Leave the bedding to dry for 24 hours, then start measuring your tiles.

Step 9

Once you have cut your tiles, start applying your tile glue. Then apply it to the back of the tiles and place gently.

Step 10

Be sure to tile neatly and gently. Adding tile glue to the back of each tile is important to stop and air pockets.

Step 11

Mix up your grout and gently add to the edges between the tiles and the grate.

Step 12

Allow grout and tile glue to dry for 24hrs and then wipe down with a damp cloth or sponge to remove grout powder.
